Overview
In collaboration, curiosity is as fundamental as it is to science broadly – experimentalists and theorists have the power to inspire each other when they are receptive and curious to learn perspectives and techniques outside their respective fields. This workshop explores how curiosity is more than a virtuous mental stance, but in fact a practical activity to navigate these interdisciplinary challenges while in pursuit of understanding biological systems.
This workshop will bring together researchers across career-stages and disciplines, with the goal to sharpen curiosity, forge new avenues of collaboration, and inspire unexpected approaches to living systems. Sessions will alternate across disciplines and approaches, encouraging speculation and the exchange of generous pedagogy. These will include both provocative lightning talks and deep explorations of new frontiers.
