Creative uses of TV lift mechanisms in modern home entertainment setups

I’ve been thinking about adding a TV lift to my basement lounge, mostly because the room doubles as a workspace, and the TV feels like it dominates the whole area when it’s just sitting out. I saw a few setups online where people hide them in cabinets or even inside the footboard of a bed, which honestly looks pretty cool. Has anyone here tried something a bit different or unconventional with a lift mechanism? I’m open to odd ideas since the space is kind of quirky already.

I actually built one into a coffee table a couple of years back for my living room. The idea was to keep the space clean but still have a screen for movie nights. It was easier than I expected after browsing through https://www.progressiveautomations.com/collections/tv-lifts, since most of the lift units have a pretty flexible mounting style. The trick for me was making sure the table had enough internal space for the movement path. If you’re dealing with a weirdly shaped room, a custom furniture piece might work better than trying to tuck the TV into a wall or cabinet.
